Interview with fans - Malta

Nowadays we are discussing many things about Eurovision 2023. 

We only know one thing that Eurovision 2023 will be held in the United Kingdom. Also we learned that there are 7 potential host city. 

For this interview, I would like to thank to Etienne Micallef from Malta. He is an author and sent a song Maltese National Selection for 2022. We talked about many things about Eurovision and Maltese entries via Facebook.

What does Eurovision mean for you? Can you describe with 3 words ?

Eurovision brings back to me childhood memories when we used to watch it as a family. It like having a party every year. I like the different music styles, especially those countries which include their national instruments or ethmic sounds in their songs. So my 3 words would be: party, tradition and fun.

Which country is your favorite in esc?

My favourite country is Sweden. I love the passion they put in their national final every year and their diversity of songs every year.

Which are your favorite songs ever in Eurovision history?

The one that I love

Malta will choose representative via national selection again?

Yes there will be a national final. I had a song this year in the final as an author. RISE by Francesca Sciberras.

Will you be part of national selection for 2023?

So far I'm working on 1 song with composer Dominic Cini.

I would like to ask one more questions. There are many singers from Malta. Who has potential to represent Malta for 2023?

I think Aidan or Brooke are the hot favourites.
